The following gives a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can personally identify you.

In short: no analytics or marketing services are loaded without your consent. Simply opening a page transfers no data to third parties — video thumbnails and the fonts we use are served from our own server.

This is a translation for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare Germany GmbH (Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, Germany) on the Cloudflare Workers platform; the parent company is Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare processes data as a processor under a data processing agreement; transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

When you open a page, Cloudflare automatically collects access data (including IP address, date and time, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system). This data serves secure and stable operation and the prevention of attacks, and is not combined with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically faultless presentation of the website).

The contact form uses the FormSubmit service (formsubmit.co). The details you enter — name, email address and your message — are processed via the provider's servers and delivered to us by email. The provider is based outside the EU; the transfer results from your submission and is necessary to handle your enquiry.

We store your details in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. If you would rather not use the service, write to us directly at ts@theresaschleicher.de.

Essential cookies store only your privacy choice and are required for the site to work (Sec. 25 (2) TDDDG). All other cookies and the services listed below are only set or loaded after you have given consent in the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent under Sec. 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager — provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use these services to evaluate which content is read and how the website is used. Cookies are set and usage data is processed (including truncated IP address, pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser). Transfer to the USA is possible, based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

LinkedIn Insight Tag — provider: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The service measures how visitors reach the website via LinkedIn and allows campaigns to be evaluated. Transfer to the USA is possible here as well.

Videos are embedded on this website. We serve the preview images from our own server, so simply opening a page creates no connection to Google. Only when you click a video and start the player is a connection to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) established and your IP address transmitted. We use the extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Legal basis: your consent given by clicking the video, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.

The fonts used are hosted locally; there is no connection to Google Fonts. Editorial content is maintained in a content management system (Sanity), which is only queried server-side — no data about you is transferred there when you open a page.

Server log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest. Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to handle your request or for as long as statutory retention periods apply. Cookies from analytics services have varying lifetimes depending on the service; your consent decision is stored for up to twelve months.

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify (Art. 16), erase (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and object to processing (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — for Berlin, this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
